Rental Terms & Conditions

Sanskriti Fancy Dresses

These Rental Terms apply to all rental bookings placed with Sanskriti Fancy Dresses. Since rental costumes are time-bound, reusable, and often booked for school and event use, customers must read these terms carefully before confirming a booking.


1. Rental Booking Confirmation

A rental booking is treated as confirmed only after:

  • costume selection is finalized
  • size, quantity, and accessory details are confirmed
  • event date is shared
  • required payment or advance is received

Only written confirmation from official channels will be treated as final.


2. Rental Duration

Rental duration is fixed according to the agreed schedule. It generally starts from:

  • date of delivery, or
  • date of pickup

and ends on the agreed return date.


3. Pickup and Return Timeline

Customers must:

  • collect the rental item on the agreed date, if pickup-based
  • receive the item promptly, if courier-based
  • return all items on or before the agreed return date

4. Late Return Charges

Late return affects future bookings. Therefore, late return charges may apply on a per-day basis or according to booking impact.

No waiver is guaranteed merely because the event ran late, school delayed collection, or the coordinator forgot to return the item.


5. Condition at Handover

Costumes are issued in checked condition suitable for intended rental use.

Customers must inspect the item immediately on delivery or pickup and report any major issue within 24 hours, before actual use.

Condition of rental items may be recorded by photo or video before dispatch or handover for reference.


6. Customer Responsibility After Handover

After handover, the customer is responsible for:

  • safe use
  • proper storage
  • timely return
  • return of all issued accessories and props

7. Use and Handling Rules

Customers must not:

  • wash the costume
  • cut the costume
  • stitch or permanently alter the costume
  • use harsh ironing
  • apply glue or damaging adhesives
  • use pins or fasteners in a way that causes damage
  • use the item in rough conditions likely to damage reusability

8. Damage, Rough Use, and Loss

The customer is responsible for:

  • tears
  • burns
  • heavy stains
  • broken zips or hooks
  • missing parts
  • rough-use damage
  • damage reducing the costume’s usability for the next customer

Charges may be applied based on:

  • repair cost, or
  • replacement value if the costume becomes unusable

9. Missing Accessories and Props

All items issued with the costume must be returned together, including:

  • jewellery
  • headgear
  • belts
  • dupatta
  • props
  • other listed components

Missing items will be chargeable.


10. Security Deposit or Recovery Charges

For selected rentals, especially high-value or bulk orders, a security deposit may be taken.

If no deposit is taken, damage, missing item, late return, or non-return charges may still be recovered separately.


11. Return Inspection

Returned items are inspected by our team.

Inspection may consider:

  • visible stains
  • tears
  • missing parts
  • broken components
  • condition for reuse

The company’s internal inspection and condition verification will guide the final charge decision.


12. Non-Return or Severe Damage

If a costume is not returned, or is returned in a severely damaged and unusable state, the customer may be charged up to the replacement value.


13. School and Group Rental Orders

For school, group, or coordinator-led rentals:

  • one responsible person should handle collection and return
  • final accountability for the issued set remains with the booking customer or designated coordinator
  • missing or damaged items may be charged item-wise or set-wise depending on the loss

14. Urgent Bookings

Urgent rental bookings are subject to availability and limited preparation time.

Urgent handling does not reduce the customer’s responsibility for:

  • correct confirmation
  • timely return
  • safe use
  • full accessory return

15. Event Date Change

If an event date changes, the customer must inform us as early as possible.

Rescheduling may be considered depending on:

  • item availability
  • existing commitments
  • preparation stage

Rescheduling is not guaranteed.


16. No Refund Rule for Rentals

No refund is applicable once a rental order is:

  • prepared
  • dispatched
  • handed over
  • picked up

Rental service is for temporary use and inventory reservation. Return of the item does not imply refund.


17. Exceptional Cases

In genuine exceptional situations, limited flexibility may be considered at the sole discretion of the company. This does not create a general right or policy entitlement for all customers.
